Vista Simulations
Vista simulations enable a dynamic environment for students to interact with various Vista OS related issues. It allows them to find the solution for the vista OS related problems that may occur frequently in day to day life. This will help students to solve the commonly faced operating system problems in an efficient way.
Login Screen:
The login screen section asks for the information about the student.

Let us know about login section in detail.
Student Details:
- Enter your first name in the First Name box.
For example, Anand.
- Enter your last name in the Last Name box.
For example, Sharma.
- Enter your roll number in the Roll No. section.
For example, LR021009.
Once you have entered the valid details in the above sections, you can select different cases from Select the Case drop-down list box. Select the appropriate case from Select the Case drop-down list box. Then, click the View Scenario button to view the scenario.

Now, the scenario will be displayed on your screen and request you to start the simulation. Click the Start Simulation button to experience the real interaction with networking problems.
Simulation:
As you click the Start Simulation button, an Instructions window will appear on your screen. Now, read the instructions carefully and follow them while performing the simulation. Then, close the Instructions window to begin with the simulation.

In the Simulation, there is a Sidebar that appears on the right side of the screen. The Sidebar consists of four buttons namely Exit Simulation (X), View Scenario (S), View Instructions (?) and View Full Screen Mode (■).
Let us know the function of each button.
Ø Exit Simulation – Enables you to close the simulation at any time. If you click this “X” button, you will get a confirmation message on your screen. Click ‘Yes’ to confirm or click ‘No’ to cancel the request.

Ø View Scenario – Enables you to view the scenario at any time while performing the simulation. If you click this “S” button, the Scenario window will be displayed on your screen.

Ø View Instructions – Enables you to view the instructions at any time. If you click this “?” button, the Instructions window will be displayed on your screen.

Ø View/Exit Full Screen Mode – Enables you to view or exit the full screen mode. By default, the simulation will be displayed in Full Screen mode.

Let us start with the process of performing the simulation. Select the to proceed with solving the problem. If you select an incorrect option , you will be prompted with an error message saying that “You have performed an incorrect step. Please try again”.

Once you have finished with the simulation, you will get a confirmation message on your screen saying that “You have successfully completed the procedure of (Simulation name)”.

There is also a button called ‘Get Data’ that allows you to view the performed steps. If you click the Get Data button, the Result screen appears.

The Result screen will display comparison between the actual steps and the performed steps of the simulation.
